Delay Tracking

The Delay Tracking page displays a list of all containers that are being tracked between the Entry and Exit events of the container.

When a user populates an event in a work order (either via a direct update, email update, or bulk update) that is a designated 'Entry Event', the container is added to the list of active containers (if not already there). The allowed free days are copied from the work order that caused the entry of the container and the number of days is counted from the time of entry (same as the event that triggered the entry). Similarly, when a user populates an event that is designated as the 'Exit Event' event, the application checks if the container in the work order is an active container in the Delay Tracking list. If so, the container is "exited" from the list and grayed out. The Exit event could either be in the same workflow as the Entry event or a different one.

Select the desired filters and click on the 'Search' button to view the list of all containers that are being tracked. Select Include Exited checkbox to view the list of those containers also that have already exited. Select With Rates to view the list of all containers for which delay rates have been set.

The list appears as follows: 

Tracking Type    

Displays the type of tracking it is calculating

Displays the container number
Entry Date/Carrier Displays the date of entry of the container in the work order and the name of the carrier
Entry WO Gives the work order number that tracked the entry of this container
Last Event Displays the last event in this work order
Free Days Displays the number of free days allowed for the container
Actual Days Displays the actual number of days that have passed since the container entered the workflow (appears in red if it has exceeded the number of free days)
Total Charges Displays the total cost incurred by the Carrier based on slab rates defined for various slab days
Exit WO Displays the work order number that tracks the exit of the container
Exit Date Displays the date on which the container exited from the workflow
Remarks Displays any additional information about the container provided by the user

For more information on how charges are calculated for each carrier and/or workflow, go to Delay Tracking Costs. Click on the 'Export' button to open this list in MS-Excel or save it on the local machine.

Editing Container

Click on icon to edit the Free Days, Exit WO, Exit Date, and Remarks for a selected container. The following dialog box pops up:

Make the desired changes and click on the 'Save' button.

Deleting a Container

Click on  icon to delete this container from the delay tracking list. A confirmation window pops-up. Click on the 'Delete' button to confirm deletion.
